Traffic controller

An intelligent traffic controller provides local control of a traffic light object in an isolated mode, coordinated decentralized control as part of a group of intersections, as well as functioning in various modes under the control of an external central system.

The controller can be purchased in various versions depending on the functional requirements of the customer and the Development level of the city automated traffic control system. In the future it is possible to expand the controller`s functionality during its maintenance by adding or replacing functional modules directly at the control object.

The specialized software package includes a tool for creating traffic light management programs and their remote loading into a traffic controller, as well as for further monitoring and adjustment of operating parameters.

Traffic controller provides connection and operation with traffic sensors of various types and manufacturers through built-in interaction protocols.

Traffic controller makes it possible to apply all known methods of traffic light management.

Traffic controller supports various interaction protocols for integration with automated traffic control systems.

Advantages of a traffic controller
  • LINUX operating system
  • Modular architecture based on the EUROMECHANICS 3U construct
  • Flexible functionality taking into account the requirements for traffic light control and integration
  • Remote access via built-in web interface
  • Built-in engineering panel with basic supervisory control functions, configuration functions and monitoring of operating parameters
  • Produced in protective cabinets of various sizes
Distinctive features
Integration
  • Supervisory control mode.
  • Control mode from the remote control unit.
  • Local mode based on fixed plans.
  • Coordinated centerless control mode (synchronization of traffic light objects in the “green wave” mode according to time).
  • Emergency mode.
  • Debugging mode (debugging programs in the controller in online mode using the configurator software).
  • Coordinated central control mode.
  • Local adaptive regulation mode (according to tactical traffic sensors).
  • Adaptive-coordinated regulation mode (according to strategic traffic sensors and under the control of an automated traffic control system).
  • Network dynamic adaptive control mode (based on the data from tactical traffic sensors and under the control of an external automated traffic control system).
Security control
  • Alarm for opening the cabinet door.
  • Self-diagnosis function.
  • Log of errors, events, power consumption readings.
  • Data transfer to a remote server.
  • Monitoring of the burnout of red lamps, monitoring of short circuits in the circuits of all lamps.
  • Voltage control on output switches.
  • Control of switching on conflicting directions.
  • Control of program “freezing” in one state (lack of signal switching during the programmed time).
  • The presence of a relay for turning off the power supply to traffic light emitters (safety relay).
  • Independent hardware control of the actions of the main processor and critical security parameters. Configurable emergency mode (Yellow flashing or signal shutdown).
  • Protection of the output keys of traffic light emitters from overload and short circuit of each by an individual fuse.
