Adaptive traffic control module at intersections

The module provides accurate and reliable data on the traffic flows for adaptive traffic light control and traffic optimization in a controlled street-road network or at a separate intersection.

Flexible management strategies are implemented in the real-time mode taking into account the current traffic condition directly at the intersection or on remote approaches to it.

Adaptive algorithms are calculated on the basis of data from the microwave traffic sensors directly in a road controller or in the backend of the control system.

The solution may interact almost with every type of a road controller by the integration via open protocols or the program adapter.

THE MODULE PROVIDES THE FOLLOWING FEATURES:

• control of the intersection stop-line or approaches to them
• traffic data between intersections collection
• vehicle counting and registration of presence in the control zone
• estimation of the queue length before the stop line
• remote detection and control zone configuration
• actual data transmission directly to the road controller or to the backend of the adaptive control system
• formation, visualization and transmission of statistical data on parameters of the traffic flow for performance evaluation of the adaptive control system
