Telecommunication hardware and software device for interaction with car transponders using V2X technology of the DSRC standard based on dedicated short-range radio communication at the toll plaza.
Road side units are installed on constructions near the road.
The RSU (Road Side Unit) device is designed for data exchange in networks with support for the V2X protocol stack according to ETSI ITS-G5. RSU V2X is an essential part of the cooperative ITS architecture to ensure rapid and reliable interaction between connected vehicles (equipped with appropriate telecommunication on-board units - OBU V2X), the intelligent transport system and road infrastructure elements within it.
DSRC technology is a type of Wi-Fi technology in moving vehicles.
In combination with application software for V2X services, V2X RSU devices can significantly improve the safety and comfort of movement of connected vehicles.
