The introduction of an ITS allows you to optimize city traffic, improve road safety, increase the safety of the road surface and has a positive effect on the state of environment.

The first stage of work on creating an intelligent transport infrastructure in the city of Tver began in 2022 .

Over the past period, dozens of innovative surveillance complexes, weather stations and photo/video recording cameras have appeared at the crossroads of the regional center. All elements are connected by a single platform, capable of automatically signaling about accidents or emergencies on the roads.

Specialists of Sorb Engineering LLC carried out traffic light modernization.

Additional equipment was installed - more than 30 traffic intensity metering points, the technologies of which make it possible to measure the intensity of the traffic flow, road congestion during a certain time, the average speed of the flow, and determine the types of passing vehicles.

Data obtained from traffic intensity metering points constitute a dynamic and statistical transport model of the city.

As a result, Tver received an optimal system for managing traffic and safety on the roads of a regional center consistent with Russian realities.
